riter

riter is a writing workspace for authors who want to turn their own experience and ideas into a book, operated by AlphaHive Ltd in England. The free writing preview available today lets users organise books and chapters, keep passage notes beside the draft, run wording checks that highlight phrases with explanations and record review decisions, and download a chapter or a whole book as Markdown. The site also describes a wider product vision, including author interviews, outline and research assistance, continuity checks, book design and Word or PDF exports, which is not yet part of the preview.

riter suits non-fiction and fiction writers who want AI help without handing over authorship. The wording checks are rule-based suggestions and do not detect plagiarism or verify facts. In the preview, work is stored only in the browser on one device, so authors should keep their own copies. Nothing was tested for this listing.

The product is free to use for now, with Google sign-in and no card. The pricing page lists planned prices of $12 a month or $120 a year once billing exists, and the terms say nothing will be charged without the user being asked first.
