Tool Information

Atua is a Mac application for invoking AI commands while working in other applications. A command combines a reusable prompt with selected text, clipboard content, screenshots, screen text or voice input. Users can assign a shortcut, choose a model and select how the result should be returned. The current website describes both text assistance and actions through native Mac tools, including Calendar, Reminders, Notes and Finder. It also describes connections to external tools through MCP servers, which let a command access a connected service. These capabilities distinguish a simple rewrite command from an action that reads or changes information elsewhere. Model configuration supports several hosted providers with user-supplied API keys, as well as local options such as Ollama and LM Studio. The official page provides a Mac download and documentation entry. Start with a narrowly defined command, check which context it includes, and review permissions before connecting tools that can modify files or app data. This review checked the public product description; it did not install Atua, connect an account or test command execution. Data sent to a chosen remote model still needs to be considered when selecting inputs.
