CaptionCreator is a browser-based service for turning audio or video speech into editable subtitles, translated captions and plain text. The public homepage offers a file-upload interface, input-language selection and separate transcription and translation modes. Its subtitle studio is advertised with style controls and SRT, VTT and TXT exports. The site lists 76 supported languages; this review inspected public pages and the registration form, without uploading a file or creating an account.

Its free allowance distinguishes anonymous visitors from registered users: three files per day without an account, or five with a free account, with a two-minute limit per file. The free pricing card also lists a watermark and exports up to 1080p. Basic is displayed at $10 per month with 300 credits, while Pro is $25 with 1,000. One credit covers one minute of transcription or translation, rounded up for each file. Paid claims of unlimited files and length remain constrained by the available monthly credits; they do not mean unlimited processing.

Subscription credits expire at the end of their monthly period rather than rolling over. The terms distinguish older, non-expiring one-off packs from packs bought on or after 7 August 2026, which expire after 365 days. Cancellation stops the next renewal, whereas a refund requires a separate request and is limited by the first-subscription policy and unused-credit calculation. Check the current plan and policy before paying.

Creators preparing subtitles or multilingual versions can evaluate the allowance against their workload. Review names, timing, speaker changes and translations before publishing: speed claims, testimonials and displayed customer logos do not establish accuracy for a particular recording. The privacy notice gives general retention statements without a detailed audio-deletion schedule; clarify sensitive-upload handling with the operator. No transcription accuracy, export, payment or refund was tested.
