Cascadeur is Nekki Limited's desktop software for creating and editing character animation. It combines user-controlled keyframes with assisted posing, inbetweening, physics tools and animation unbaking for editing recorded or baked motion. Its public download page lists Windows, Linux and Mac builds. This is an animation workflow tool, so evaluating it requires compatible hardware, a suitable character rig and checking motion inside the intended production pipeline.

The Free plan includes the animation toolset but limits export to Cascadeur's .casc format and permits non-commercial use. That restriction matters when a user expects to send finished animation to another application. Paid plans list additional export formats; Pro adds features such as retargeting, environment interaction, scene linking and quadruped posing. A general format-compatibility claim does not mean every export or feature is available on every license.

At review, the annual pricing view displayed Indie at $8 per month billed annually, and Pro or Teams at $33, with Teams priced per user. These are annual billing equivalents, not verified month-to-month prices. Indie eligibility depends on revenue or funding below $100,000 under the license conditions. The license distinguishes an individual's retained version after a subscription from Teams access that ends when its subscription expires. Confirm the applicable plan and renewal terms for a studio or team.

The license describes AI as assistance with poses and intermediate motion under the user's control, rather than autonomous final animation. Inspect contact, balance, collisions and exported motion before using the result in a game or film.
