Goodlookup

Goodlookup is a Google Sheets add-on for comparing text whose meaning may be related even when its spelling differs. It combines semantic matching with the record-linking tasks commonly handled by lookup formulas and fuzzy matching. Spreadsheet users can use it to explore possible connections between names, terms and topic labels across lists.

The product describes matching synonyms and broader relationships between text strings, with a score beside each suggested match. That score represents similarity in the model's vector space; it should not be treated as proof that two records identify the same person, company or item. Review candidate matches before using them to join business data or replace existing labels.

Getting started involves subscribing, installing the add-on from Google Workspace Marketplace and enabling it in a spreadsheet. The official site advertises an annual subscription of US $15. Installation and an active subscription are distinct steps; the directory has not tested the paid function or measured matching accuracy.

Goodlookup may suit topic clustering and reconciling inconsistent terminology in spreadsheets. Before connecting confidential data, confirm the add-on permissions and data-handling terms. The public privacy page did not display readable policy text during this review.
