OneAccord

OneAccord is a live translation service designed for churches. A volunteer connects a laptop to the church's sound desk, starts a translation session and selects the desk as the audio input. Congregation members scan a QR code, choose a language and listen to translated audio or read captions on their own phones. The company says its system is trained on Biblical terms and concepts and supports more than 50 languages, and an optional moderation mode lets a team member review the transcript before it is translated. Transcripts in the original and translated languages can be downloaded after each session.

The service is aimed at multilingual congregations and churches that cannot staff human interpreters for every service. Machine translation of sermons can still misrender names, scripture references or nuance, so churches may want to use the moderation mode and gather feedback from listeners. Nothing was tested for this listing.

The homepage lists pricing from $150 per month for five hours, described as typically enough for one service per week, with no setup fees. Prices depend on the number of languages, hours and users, and churches can request a custom quote or contact the company for a free trial.

OneAccord publishes terms of service and a privacy policy. Because sermons and prayers may include personal information about congregation members, churches should consider what is spoken during translated sessions and how long transcripts are kept.
